Thanksgiving 2018: Circling Taiwan on a Bike

9 days in the saddle with a group of about 40 Taiwanese, Hong Kongese, Chinese, Malaysian and American cyclists. I learned that this ride existed during a meeting with one of my clients, a US Bike Rack brand. It took me a year to hash out the details and convince my partner to agree to the trip; but in the end it turned into the best adventure you could ask for.

It seemed a little surprising when the participant packet showed up in traditional Chinese but I still assumed the we would be met with English speaking guided when we arrived to Taiwan. Not so much. Our lead tour guides spoke limited English and each days itinerary was presented in Mandarin, luckily many of the participant spoke English and gave us a summary of what to expect. ……
